I’m sooo happy to have my arm sconces back on the wall and not in a box on the floor risking damage.

Speaking of emails, thank you to loosetoon, gimmepig, cmlegnax, bREDAN, & Master Gracey for sending me your addresses.  MainstreetMom, if you sent your email, I can’t find it! Sorry.  I’m working on my inbox now, but its a jungle in there.  Seriously.  I need a weed-whacker to help me get through all this stupid spam!  If you could please send me your info again, I’d really appreciate it!  Once I have all the addresses, I’ll be heading to the post office.  

Also, for those readers that have shied away from leaving comments in the past because you had to fill in your entire life’s bio, along with your blood type, and complete background check, well I have got good news for you.  My new and much improved blog no longer requires you to fill out anything other than your name and email address!  Woo-hoo!  So please comment to your beating heart’s content!

Now onto a big confession.  I remember a time when I would chastise fellow Haunted Mansion collectors for keeping their collection in boxes.  I mean, why buy the item if you don’t want to display it?  And then, last year, our family moved.  We hadn’t moved in 10 years.  That’s a lot of stuff that required a lot of boxes in order to move.  Hello, boxes.

7 months after the move, I’m still saying hello to these boxes.  Boxes that are filled with my collectibles.  Boxes that remind me of what used to be and where I’d like to be, but still not there.  Boxes that show me the Karma packs a mean punch sometimes.  So I apologize to anyone I’ve ridiculed for keeping their collections in boxes.

I call this room the library and someday I envision my books and collectibles living harmoniously side by side on bookcases that stretch from floor to ceiling.

But this is all I can see now.  Discordant disfunction!

Is that laundry stacked in front of the fireplace?!  I asked my daughter to put those baskets away weeks ago!

That little sneak.  She knows I avoid this room like the plague.

Well now that I’ve shown you my dirty  little secret (and dirty laundry, apparently) I think its about time I figure out a way to make my room a showpiece once more.    I’ll get started just as soon as I have a talk with my daughter about procrastination.
